What you can hand over

Hand ancoreMind the work of a Qlik consultant – including the work nobody wants to do by hand. A customer with six apps of about 50 sheets each has thousands of objects, and almost every request touches many of them. Each job below is a situation Qlik developers know well – and a few sentences in the chat.

How it works

Say what you need the way you would brief a consultant – in your words, in any language, with the names your app uses. Attach the concept, the style guide or the KPI handbook if you have one. ancoreMind does the work in the app you have open – it builds, and it changes what is already there – tells you what it changed, and takes corrections the same way: Make the bar chart horizontal. Deleting something and sending a mail always wait for your confirmation.

For bigger jobs, go one step at a time – the sheets first, then the charts, then the design – and look at the result in between.

Jobs

Build and change your sheets

"The business department sent a concept as PDF – and a photo of their sketch."

  • Build the sales cockpit as described in this concept.
  • Build this sheet like in my sketch.
  • Turn the pie chart into a bar chart, sort it by revenue and put the line chart next to it.

Attach the blueprint – a PDF, a Word or Excel file, a photo of a sketch, a mockup or a screenshot – and ancoreMind turns it into the sheet, astonishingly close to the original. It builds with the app's own master measures, and it changes the charts that are already there, down to any property. See Sheets and charts.

By hand: reading the concept, then placing, configuring and formatting every chart yourself.

A field gets a new name: what depends on it – and change it everywhere

"After a data model change, a field gets a new name. Which sheets and charts use it – and who changes all the expressions?"

  • Can I delete the field Region_old? What would break?
  • The field Region is now called Area – replace it in every expression of this app.

First you get every chart, master item and report that uses the field, sheet by sheet. Then ancoreMind shows how many expressions it would change – also set and color expressions – lets you narrow it down and changes them after your OK. See Where used and Change many objects at once.

By hand: opening every chart, every expression and every color formula – Qlik has no where-used view.

Change many charts in one sentence

"Every amount should read like $15.0M – in every chart." · "Make all charts look like this one."

  • Show revenue in every chart in millions with one decimal.
  • Give each region the same color in every chart.
  • Make "Costs by region" look exactly like "Sales by region".
  • Turn every KPI on this sheet into a gauge.

ancoreMind finds the objects, changes exactly those and names each one. See Change many objects at once.

By hand: one property panel after the other.

Turn copied formulas into master measures

"The same margin formula is typed into dozens of charts – and now the definition changes."

  • Use the master measure Margin % in every chart that calculates Sum(Margin) / Sum(Sales) itself.
  • List the master measures of this app with their expressions.

Every chart switches to the master measure in one go – from then on, the definition lives in one place. See Change many objects at once.

By hand: chart by chart – and for KPIs, deleting the measure and adding it again.

Move charts and sheets to Qlik Cloud – master items included

"We move from Qlik Sense Enterprise to Qlik Cloud." · "When I copy the chart into another app, its master items are missing."

  • Save this sheet to the Library.
  • Restore "Sales cockpit" as a new sheet.

Save charts, KPIs, whole sheets – or just the master items and variables – in the Library, open the target app – in the same tenant, another tenant or on another Qlik platform – and drag them in. ancoreMind checks the master items, variables and fields they need there and creates what is missing on your OK. See Objects and sheets.

By hand: re-creating every master item in the target app, then rebuilding the charts.

Bring a new corporate design into existing apps

"We have a new corporate design – but the new theme does not reach the charts that already exist."

  • Take the rules from this file into the Rulebook.
  • Make this sheet calm and modern: rounded corners, soft shadow, light grey background.

Attach the style guide: ancoreMind proposes its rules, each with the page it comes from, and every chart it builds follows them. For the charts that already exist, change them in one sentence or give them a style template. See Rulebook and Style templates.

Give charts the look of a picture

"I saw a chart I like – can ours look like that?"

  • Make me a line chart of sales by month in the style of this screenshot, and keep the look as the style template "Dark cards".

ancoreMind builds the chart from your data and takes over the look – and keeps it as a style template you drag onto any other chart. See Style from a screenshot.

Deliver the app in another language

"The app has to work in English, too."

  • Translate all titles and subtitles on this sheet into English.

Every chart gets its own translated title and subtitle in one go, and text objects are translated too. Or leave the app as it is and let every user read it in their own language – see Translate your apps. See Change many objects at once.

By hand: about a minute per chart, for every chart.

Understand an app you inherited

"I inherited an app with 30 sheets and no documentation."

  • Which fields and master measures does this app have?
  • Which variables does this app have, and what are they used for?

ancoreMind explains the app's building blocks and finds duplicates and charts with their own formulas. See Where used.

Write the set analysis

"I know what the number should show – not the set analysis behind it."

  • Sales of customers who never bought the Rain Shell.
  • Top 3 products, the rest as "Others".

You see the result in Qlik's own properties – the expression, the set analysis and the master item – so you can check it and change it later yourself. See Calculations and master items.

Reports that go out by themselves

"Every month, the regional managers need the same figures as a PDF."

  • Create a PDF report "Monthly sales" with the KPIs and the revenue trend from the sheet Overview.
  • Send the report to Anna and Lukas with a short summary of the key figures.

ancoreMind builds the report with ancoreShare – PDF, PowerPoint or Excel – and drafts the mail; it goes out when you select Send. With ancoreMate, the report runs on a schedule. See Reports.

By hand: 15–30 minutes plus the mail – every month.

Back up a sheet before a big change

"I am about to rebuild the start sheet – and want a way back."

  • Save this sheet to the Library.

The whole sheet goes into the Library with all its objects and positions. If the new version does not work out, drag it back as a new sheet. See Save and restore whole sheets.

Keep each customer apart – and work as a team

"I work for five customers – each with its own definitions, documents and people."

  • How does this customer define net revenue?

Create one Workspace per customer and put the customer's KPI handbook into its Knowledge base. The answer comes from this customer's documents – never from another customer's – and your colleagues in the Workspace ask, answer and share files in the same chat. See Workspaces.

And of course: answer questions about the figures

ancoreMind answers questions about your data – calculated by Qlik, with your selections and your rights.

  • Compare revenue per region for 2025 and 2026, with the change in percent.
  • Which sales reps are below 80 % of their annual target?

See Ask questions.
