Ask questions about your Qlik data
Ask the way you would ask a colleague who knows the app – in any language. ancoreMind finds the right fields and master measures, lets the Qlik engine calculate the answer and explains it, right next to your sheet.
On this page you learn:
- how to ask for figures, rankings and comparisons,
- why you can rely on every number in an answer,
- how to select and filter the app in your own words.
How it works
Type your question in the chat. ancoreMind asks the Qlik engine of the app you have open and answers with the figures Qlik calculated – with your selections, your rights and the app's own master measures.
- What is the revenue for 2026 so far?
- Top 5 products by margin in the Nordics.
- Select Germany and Austria.
- Why is the value in this KPI lower than last month?
Answers that come from your documents name their source, down to the page. Correct an answer once and ancoreMind remembers it – see Teach it once.
Details
Figures, rankings and comparisons
- What is the revenue for 2026 so far?
- Top 5 products by margin in the Nordics.
- Compare revenue per region for 2025 and 2026, with the change in percent.
- Which sales reps are below 80 % of their annual target?
- Average order value by month for the last 12 months.
Numbers you can rely on
ancoreMind does not estimate. For every figure it asks the Qlik engine of the app you have open – a single value, or a table of values per dimension, sorted and with totals. That has three consequences:
- Your selections apply. If you have selected DACH and 2026, the answer is about DACH in 2026 – unless you ask for something else (…for all regions, regardless of my selection).
- Your rights apply. ancoreMind works as your Qlik user. Section access applies, so it never answers with data you could not see in the app yourself.
- Your definitions apply. If the app has a master measure Margin, ancoreMind uses it instead of inventing its own formula.
If a question can be read in more than one way, ancoreMind says which field or master measure it used. Check it, and correct it if needed: By revenue I mean net revenue after discounts.
It knows where you are
ancoreMind sees the sheet you are on, your current selections and – if you point at them with Select Qlik objects – the charts you mean. You do not have to describe the context:
- Why is the value in this KPI lower than last month?
- Which of the selected countries is furthest below target?
Selections
ancoreMind can filter the app for you. These are real Qlik selections, so all sheets follow them.
- Select Germany and Austria.
- Show only orders from the winter season.
- What is selected right now?
- Lock the year selection.
- Go back one step in the selections.
- Clear all selections.
ancoreMind can select values, clear selections, lock and unlock fields, and step back and forward – the same as the Qlik selection bar.
Ask in your language
Ask in German, English, French or any other language. ancoreMind answers in the language you write in; the field and measure names stay as they are in the app.
Teach it once
Every team has its own words: what active customer means, which revenue counts, how the fiscal year runs. Correct an answer once and keep it with Save as rule… on the message, or add your KPI handbook to the Knowledge base – ancoreMind then uses it in every later conversation of the Workspace. Answers taken from your documents show their source under the answer. See Rulebook and Knowledge.
Explore the app
ancoreMind knows the structure of the app and can explain it: Which fields and master measures does this app have?, Describe what this sheet shows., Where is the master measure Margin used? See Where used and app catalog.
Good to know
- Tables: one calculation can combine up to three dimensions and five measures. ancoreMind reads up to 50 rows at a time and pages through longer results; the totals always cover all rows. For long lists, a ranking (top 20) or a narrower scope gives you a faster and clearer answer.
- Your data and the AI: to answer, ancoreMind sends the values Qlik calculated – not your whole data model – to the AI service. See Security and privacy.
