Sign in once – your Workspaces follow you. Every user signs in with their own ancoreCloud account. It holds your Workspaces, Conversations and Library, so you find them again in every app, on every computer and on every Qlik platform.

How it works​

  1. Open ancoreMind

    In an app with ancoreMind, select the round Open ancoreMind button in the bottom right corner. The chat window opens and shows Welcome to ancoreMind.

  2. Select Sign in

    A small sign-in window opens. While it is open, the Qlik page is dimmed.

    If nothing happens, your browser has blocked the window. Allow pop-ups for your Qlik Sense address and select Sign in again.

  3. Confirm the Qlik site

    The window shows Sign in to ancoreMind and the Qlik site you are signing in from. Check the address and select Continue.

    If the address is not a Qlik Cloud address – for example your client-managed Qlik Sense server – the page adds: This is not a Qlik Cloud address. Continue only if you opened ancoreMind on this server yourself.

  4. Choose how you sign in

    Sign in with your email address, your Microsoft account or your Google account. If you do not have an ancoreCloud account yet, you create it in the same window.

  5. Done

    The sign-in window closes and ancoreMind shows your chat. The first time you sign in, ancoreMind creates your Personal Workspace with an empty conversation – you can start asking right away.

Details​

One account per tab​

In Qlik, one sign-in applies to every tab of your browser. ancoreMind is different: each browser tab has its own ancoreMind account. In one tab you can work as the employee of your consulting firm, in the next tab – even in the same Qlik app – with the email address your customer gave you. Each tab shows the Workspaces of its account.

  • A new tab signs in with the account you used last in this browser. Each tab still has its own session.
  • Switch account changes the account of this tab only. You choose the account in the sign-in window; your other tabs and your Qlik sign-in stay as they are.
  • Sign out ends the session of this tab only. If you sign in again in that tab, ancoreMind uses the same account – to change it, use Switch account.
  • Your Qlik sign-in decides the data. Whichever ancoreMind account is active, Qlik calculates with the Qlik user of your browser, and section access applies as usual. The ancoreMind account decides which Workspaces, Conversations and files you see.

How long you stay signed in​

When you reload the app in the same tab, ancoreMind restores your session (Restoring your ancoreMind session...). You sign in again:

  • when you open the app in a new tab or a new browser window – usually without doing anything, see above,
  • after 30 minutes without activity.

While you work in Qlik, your session is renewed automatically – but never for longer than 7 days after you signed in.

Sign out or switch accounts​

Select Account – your picture or initials in the header of the chat window – to open the quick account menu with your name and email:

  • Sign out ends your session in this tab.
  • Switch account signs this tab out and opens the sign-in window, where you choose another account.
  • Settings opens your profile and sign-in methods. See Settings and account.
