Use ancoreMate in Microsoft Power Automate

In Power Automate, ancoreMate consists of eight connectors, one per area – for example ancoreMate Reloads or ancoreMate App Data. They all use the same sign-in, so the first connection you create works the same way for the others.

Create the connection

  1. Add an ancoreMate action

In a flow, select Add an action and search for ancoreMate. Pick a connector, for example ancoreMate Reloads, and then an action such as Reload app and wait.

  2. Sign in with your ancoreCloud account

Power Automate asks for a connection. Select Sign in. A window opens where you sign in with your ancoreCloud account. The window then shows Signed in to ancoreCloud as …; if that is the wrong account, select Use another ancoreCloud account.

  3. Connect Qlik Cloud

In the same window, enter your Qlik Cloud tenant, for example company.eu.qlikcloud.com, and select Sign in at Qlik Cloud. Sign in with your Qlik Cloud user and approve the access for ancoreMate.

If your ancoreCloud account already has Qlik Cloud connections, the window lists them. Select the one this connection should work with, or add another one under Or add another Qlik Cloud tenant or Qlik user.

  4. Done

Wait until the sign-in window has closed – do nothing else in the same browser meanwhile. The connection is then ready, and the action offers your apps in the App dropdown. To check which tenant and user the connection works with, run Get Qlik connection.

To connect a second Qlik Cloud user of the same tenant, use a private browser window. See Tips for the sign-in window.

One connection per connector and tenant

The other ancoreMate connectors ask for their own connection the first time you use them. Sign in with the same ancoreCloud account and select the same Qlik Cloud connection. To work with two tenants in one flow, create two connections – one per Qlik Cloud connection. See Connect ancoreMate to Qlik Cloud.

Your first flow: reload an app every night and report failures

  1. Trigger

Create a Scheduled cloud flow that runs every day, for example at 2:00.

  2. Reload app and wait

Add ancoreMate Reloads → Reload app and wait and choose the app. Turn Fail when the reload fails off, so that the flow continues and you can react to the result.

  3. Condition

Add a Condition: Succeeded (from Reload app and wait) is equal to false.

  4. Notify

In the True branch, add Office 365 Outlook → Send an email (V2) or Microsoft Teams → Post message and include the Error Message and the Log of the reload.

Save and test the flow. Power Automate waits until the reload is finished – also when it takes longer than the usual two minutes of an HTTP call (see Long-running actions).

Manage the connection

Your connections are listed in Power Automate under Connections (in the left menu, or under Data → Connections).

TaskHow
An action reports QlikNotConnectedOpen the … menu of the connection and select Switch account. Choose the Qlik Cloud connection again, or add it again.
Connection shows ErrorSelect Fix connection and sign in again.
Work with another tenant or Qlik Cloud user… → Switch account, then choose another Qlik Cloud connection or add one under Or add another Qlik Cloud tenant or Qlik user. Only this connection changes. Alternatively, create a new ancoreMate connection.
Remove a Qlik Cloud connection… → Switch account, then Remove a connection in the sign-in window. See Remove a Qlik Cloud connection.

Good to know

  • Dropdowns for apps, spaces, sheets, objects, variables and more are loaded live from your tenant with the rights of the connected user. If an entry is missing, check whether the connected user can see it in Qlik Cloud.
  • Files such as PDFs or QVF exports come with File name and File content, ready for SharePoint Create file or an e-mail attachment. See Files.
  • Advanced parameters: Many actions hide optional inputs under Show all (or Advanced parameters).
