Security and privacy
Sign-in without keys
- No API keys, no client secrets. Connections sign in with OAuth: first with your ancoreCloud account, then with your Qlik Cloud user. Nobody copies keys into flows, and leaving employees do not leave keys behind.
- Every call is checked. ancoreMate checks the ancoreCloud sign-in of every call before it does anything in Qlik Cloud.
- Only the user's rights. ancoreMate acts in Qlik Cloud as the connected user, with exactly this user's rights and section access.
What ancoreMate stores

Your Qlik Cloud content is not stored. App data, exports, reports and files are passed directly to your flow or workflow. Trigger events are only held until they are delivered. Keys, tokens and codes never appear in logs.
Where ancoreMate runs
ancoreMate is a service of ancoreSoft GmbH, hosted on Microsoft Azure in Germany. It exchanges data only with the Qlik Cloud tenant you connect and with the automation tools you use; their providers process the data under their own terms.
ancoreShare events
The ancoreMate event of an ancoreShare report button is protected by its ancoreMate key. Treat the key like a password, and create a new key in the button if it became known. See ancoreShare reports.
