Troubleshooting

When an action fails, ancoreMate returns an error code and an English message that says what happened and, where possible, what to do. In Power Automate you find both in the run history under the failed action (Show raw outputs → error.code and error.message); in n8n in the output of the node.

Error codes

StatusCodeMeaningWhat to do
403QlikNotConnectedThe connection is not or no longer linked to a Qlik Cloud connection.Open the sign-in window of the connection – Power Automate: Connections → … → Switch account, n8n: Credentials → Reconnect – and choose the Qlik Cloud connection. See Repair a connection.
401QlikUnauthorizedQlik Cloud rejected the sign-in of the connection.Sign in to the connection again (as above).
401–The ancoreCloud sign-in of the connection is missing or has expired.Repair the connection.
403QlikForbiddenThe connected Qlik Cloud user may not do this.Check the user's rights in Qlik Cloud, for example the role in the space.
404AppNotFound, ResourceNotFoundThe item does not exist, or the connected user cannot see it.Check the ID and whether the user has access – for example to the space of the app.
400InvalidRequestAn input is missing or not valid. The message names the input.
400QlikRequestRejectedQlik Cloud rejected the request, for example because of a duplicate name or an invalid value. The message contains Qlik Cloud's reason.
400ReloadFailedThe reload failed with an error of the load script.Read the message or the log. To continue the flow instead, turn Fail when the reload fails off.
409ReloadPendingAnother reload of the app is waiting or running.Wait for it, for example with Wait for reloads, or use Reload app and wait with If the app is already reloading.
429QlikRateLimitedQlik Cloud limits the number of requests.Try again later; Power Automate retries by itself. Spread large loops over time.
502QlikUnavailableQlik Cloud could not be reached or answered unexpectedly.Try again later.
502QlikEngineErrorThe Qlik associative engine returned an error. The message contains the engine's reason, for example an invalid expression.
504QlikTimeoutQlik Cloud did not respond in time.Try again later.

Common questions

The dropdown does not show my app (space, sheet …)

Dropdowns show what the connected Qlik Cloud user may see. Check in Qlik Cloud with this user whether the item is visible. Apps in personal spaces of other users are never visible, also not for administrators.

The selection returns an error about missing values

Every value of a selection must exist in the field. The message names the values that are missing – often a typo, a different spelling or a value that only exists in another app.

A field or master dimension does not exist

Selections, dimensions and List field values need fields that exist in the app. If a field name looks like a typo, the message suggests the closest one, for example "The field 'Regio' does not exist in the app. Did you mean 'Region'?". List dimension values reports a master dimension that does not exist. A field that exists but has no values returns an empty list.

A Qlik expression starting with = does not work in n8n

n8n treats values that start with = as n8n expressions. Switch the field to Expression and enter {{ "=Sum(Amount)" }}.

The trigger does not start

  • Is the flow turned on (Power Automate) or the workflow active (n8n)?
  • Does the connected Qlik Cloud user see the item? Triggers only receive events this user may see.
  • Are the filters right? Leave them empty for a test.
  • n8n: Is your n8n webhook address reachable from the internet over HTTPS?
  • ancoreShare: Is the key correct and is https://ancorecloud.com allowed in the Content Security Policy of Qlik Cloud? See ancoreShare reports.

Reload and wait takes too long in Power Automate

Increase the timeout of the action under Settings → Timeout, or start the reload with Reload app and react with the trigger When an app reload finishes. See Long-running actions.

A connection works with the wrong tenant or Qlik Cloud user

Each connection in Power Automate and each credential in n8n works with the Qlik Cloud connection chosen when it was signed in. Run Get Qlik connection to see which one it is. To work with another one, open the sign-in window of the connection – Power Automate: Connections → … → Switch account, n8n: Credentials → Reconnect – and choose another Qlik Cloud connection. See Switch to another tenant or user.

An action reports QlikNotConnected after a Qlik Cloud connection was removed

Connections that used a removed Qlik Cloud connection must be signed in again. Repair the connection and choose or add a Qlik Cloud connection.
