Examples

Each example names the steps as in Power Automate: connector and action, for example ancoreMate Reloads → Reload app and wait. In n8n, use the node ancoreMate with the resource and operation named for each action in the connector reference, and the node ancoreMate Trigger for the triggers.

Reload after new source data arrives​

Goal: As soon as a new sales file is in SharePoint, it goes to Qlik Cloud and the app reloads.

  1. SharePoint → When a file is created in a folder
  2. SharePoint → Get file content
  3. ancoreMate Content → Upload data file – Name, Space and the File content. If the file exists decides what happens to a file with the same name.
  4. ancoreMate Reloads → Reload app and wait
  5. Condition on Succeeded → post the result in Microsoft Teams.

Morning report by mail​

Goal: Every weekday at 7:00, management gets the dashboard as PDF.

  1. Recurrence (Power Automate) or Schedule Trigger (n8n)
  2. ancoreMate App Data → Export sheet – app, sheet, format pdf, optionally a bookmark
  3. Office 365 Outlook → Send an email (V2) with File name and File content as attachment – or Gmail with the binary field data in n8n.

One report per region (bursting)​

Goal: Every region manager gets their own numbers.

  1. ancoreMate App Data → List field values – field Region
  2. Apply to each over the values (n8n: runs per item by itself)
  3. ancoreMate App Data → Export sheet with the selection Region = current value
  4. Send the file to the manager of the region, for example looked up in a SharePoint list.

Selections only apply to this export; nothing changes in the app. See App data and selections.

Alert on failed reloads​

Goal: The app owner learns at once when a reload fails – also for scheduled reloads.

  1. ancoreMate Reloads → When an app reload finishes – Result error, optionally App or Space
  2. ancoreMate Reloads → Get reload log with the reload ID from the trigger
  3. Microsoft Teams → Post message or a mail with the log.

Reload several apps in parallel​

  1. ancoreMate Reloads → Reload app for each app (returns at once with the reload ID)
  2. ancoreMate Reloads → Wait for reloads with all reload IDs
  3. Continue when all are done – for example export a report that uses all apps.

Nightly app backup​

  1. Recurrence – every night
  2. ancoreMate Apps → List apps – filtered by space
  3. Apply to each → ancoreMate Apps → Export app (QVF) → SharePoint → Create file in a backup library

Exports transfer the QVF through the flow; apps larger than 50 MB cannot be exported this way. Alternatively Copy app into an archive space.

Onboarding: access for a new team member​

  1. A new entry in a SharePoint list or a Microsoft Forms response
  2. ancoreMate Spaces and Access → List users – with a Filter on the e-mail address to find the Qlik Cloud user
  3. ancoreMate Spaces and Access → Add space member – the project space with the roles from the list

Distribute ancoreShare reports​

  1. ancoreMate ancoreShare Reports → When an ancoreShare report is finished – with the ancoreMate key of the button
  2. Office 365 Outlook → Send an email (V2) with the trigger's Attachments, or save the files in SharePoint

Goal: Know when an automation of Qlik Automate fails.

  1. ancoreMate Automations → When an automation run fails
  2. ancoreMate Automations → Get automation run for the details
  3. Notify the owner in Teams.
